The Person Behind It

About Ricardo

The story, the passion, and the journey behind both my gaming world and my software.

My Story

A Lifelong Gamer, A Dedicated Developer

I've been gaming for as long as I can remember. From picking up a controller for the first time to building out a dedicated PC setup, games have always been more than just entertainment — they're worlds I get genuinely lost in.

That same curiosity eventually turned into a second passion: software development. What started as tinkering turned into building real, production-ready tools — most of which I publish open source on GitHub for others to use, learn from, or contribute to.

The Journey — Gaming

How My Gaming World Started

Gaming didn't start as a hobby — it grew into a genuine passion over time.

Chapter 01

The Beginning

My love for gaming started with classic titles like GTA: San Andreas and Saints Row 2. I was immediately drawn in by the freedom and creative chaos these games offered — no two play sessions were ever the same.

Chapter 02

Expanding Horizons

Over the years my tastes expanded into RPGs, survival games, and competitive shooters. I also grew to appreciate the artistry and storytelling behind modern game design — games as a genuine art form.

Chapter 03

Where I Am Now

Today I own a diverse library across five platforms. I enjoy both solo adventures and multiplayer sessions with friends, always on the lookout for the next game to sink hours into.

How My Dev Career Started

Coding didn't start as a career plan either — it grew alongside the gaming.

01

Getting Started

Picked up coding out of curiosity and never really stopped — every new project became a new excuse to learn something.

02

3+ Years In

Now with 3+ years of hands-on experience, building real tools instead of just following tutorials.

03

Going Open Source

Started publishing projects publicly on GitHub, so other developers can use, learn from, and contribute to the code too.

Motivation

Why I Game

Gaming means something different to everyone. Here's what it means to me.

Stress Relief

Gaming helps me unwind after a long day. Losing myself in a good game is the best way to reset mentally and recharge.

Creativity

Games like Minecraft and Satisfactory let me express creativity by designing and building elaborate worlds from scratch.

Social Connection

Multiplayer games keep me connected with friends even when we're physically apart. GTA Online, Fortnite, Valorant — it's quality time online.

Challenge

Few things beat the satisfaction of overcoming a tough challenge — whether it's a difficult boss fight or mastering complex mechanics.
